“I like my money right where I can see it; hanging in my closet.” – Carrie Bradshaw
When moving into my college apartment, I had no idea what my closet was going to look like. I knew it was supposed to be big, but I had no measurements to see how big it would actually be, so I had to take matters into my own hands. Obviously, like most people, I wanted to maximize as much room in my closet as possible. The first thing I purchased for my closet are those amazing grey contraptions you see my clothes hanging from pictured below! Buy them here.
I knew I did not want a big bulky dresser taking up my entire closet, so I went to Five Below and purchased the grey bins you see on the shelf. I am so happy I went with this idea! It was extremely affordable because two came in a pack for $5, and it looks so chic and organized! Going from right to left, the bins hold: Socks, underwear, bras, pajama sets, bathing suits, denim jeans, and colored jeans. Above my vanity (stay tuned for a vanity organization post) which is situated on the far left wall in my closet, I have 4 more bins that are pink. Those hold my rain coats, belts, and other miscellaneous things– my “junk-bins” if you will.
Next to my vanity, I have two sets of white shoe shelfs to store most of my shoes. I purchased the smaller, cheaper shelf because my feet are small, so the 24 in width was perfect for me. However, if you have larger feet than a size 7 in women’s, I recommend purchasing the slightly larger version.
